One of the biggest challenges in AI content creation has been consistency. You generate an image of a character, but the next image of the "same" character looks completely different. Different face, different proportions, different vibe.
The Veblo Character Creator solves this. Define your characters once — upload reference photos, set attributes — and the AI keeps them consistent across every generation.
The Consistency Problem
Imagine you're creating a series of social media posts featuring a brand mascot. Or a short film with recurring characters. Without character consistency, every generation produces a different person — even with the same prompt.
This makes it impossible to:
- Create multi-scene storylines with the same character
- Build series content with a recurring face
- Generate product demos with a consistent model/spokesperson
- Create storyboards where characters look the same across frames
The Character Creator fixes all of this.
What Is the Character Creator?
The Character Creator is a feature within Veblo's Cinema section where you define and save characters for use across all your AI generations.
Each character consists of:
- Reference images — Upload 1–5 photos of the face/person you want the AI to replicate
- Name — Give your character a name for easy reference
- Description — Describe physical characteristics, style, personality traits
- Attributes — Age range, gender, hair color, style keywords
Once saved, this character can be selected in any generation block — Text → Image, Text → Video, Cinema, Storyboard, and more. The AI will maintain the character's appearance across all outputs.
How to Create a Character
- Go to Cinema → Characters from the navigation or visit the Characters section
- Click "Create Character"
- Upload reference images:
- Front-facing portrait (required)
- Side profile (recommended)
- Full body shot (optional, for body type consistency)
- Different expressions (optional, for expressiveness)
- Fill in details:
- Name: e.g., "Alex" or "Brand Spokesperson"
- Description: "Young woman, mid-20s, dark brown wavy hair, fair skin, warm smile, professional but approachable"
- Save the character — it's now available in your character library
Best reference images:
- Well-lit, clear photos (no heavy filters or editing)
- Face clearly visible, not obscured by sunglasses or masks
- Neutral backgrounds work best
- Multiple angles help the AI understand the face in 3D
- Consistent lighting across photos
Using Characters in Generations
Once your character is saved, using it is simple:
In Text → Image
Write your prompt as usual, then select your character from the Character dropdown. The AI will generate the scene with your defined character.
Example: Prompt: "Standing in a modern office, holding a tablet, confident pose" + Character: Alex → The generated image features Alex in that setting.
In Text → Video / Cinema
Same workflow. Select your character, write the scene description, generate. The video will feature your defined character with consistent appearance throughout.
In Storyboard
This is where characters shine most. Assign a character to the entire storyboard, and every scene maintains the same person. No more jarring face changes between clips.
In the Planner
When using character-supported blocks in the Planner, the character selector appears in the block configuration. Choose the same character across multiple blocks for consistent multi-asset projects.
Multiple Characters in One Scene
Need two or more characters in the same generation? You can select multiple characters per generation. This enables:
- Dialogue scenes — Two consistent characters interacting
- Group shots — A team or family with recognizable members
- Narrative storytelling — Recurring cast across many scenes
When using multiple characters, reference them in your prompt by name or description to help the AI position them correctly.
Example: "Alex and Marcus standing in a café, Alex is ordering coffee while Marcus checks his phone"
Tips for Best Results
- More reference images = better consistency. 3–5 photos significantly outperform a single image.
- Use diverse angles. Front, 3/4 view, and profile help the AI understand facial structure from every direction.
- Write detailed descriptions. Don't just rely on the photos — add text describing distinctive features the AI should preserve.
- Keep lighting neutral. Extreme lighting in reference photos can confuse the AI's understanding of skin tone and features.
- Test with a simple generation first. Generate one image with your new character to verify the AI captured the likeness before starting a big project.
- Use the same character across block types. The consistency works across images, videos, and storyboards.
- Update characters over time. If results aren't matching, add more reference photos or refine the description.

FAQ
How many characters can I create?
There's no limit. Create as many characters as your projects need.
Can I use photos of real people?
You can use photos of yourself or people who have given you explicit permission. Do not use photos of people without their consent. Respect privacy and copyright laws.
Does the character work across all generation types?
Characters are supported in Text → Image, Text → Video, Cinema, and Storyboard blocks. Support for additional block types is being expanded.
How close is the resemblance to the reference photos?
With 3+ high-quality reference images, the resemblance is strong — recognizable features, face shape, and overall appearance are preserved. Exact pixel-perfect replication isn't guaranteed (it's generative AI), but the character is clearly identifiable.
Can I edit a character after creating it?
Yes. You can add more reference images, update the description, and change attributes at any time. Existing generations are not affected — changes apply to future generations only.
Does this cost extra credits?
Creating and storing characters is free. The credit cost for generations is the same whether you use a character or not.
